Oversees 4 Curriculum Coordinators. The M1/M2 Coordinator provides a seamless experience for students and maintains effective interface with the Curriculum Coordinators. The Manager of Academic Affairs for M1/M2 Curriculum oversees adherence to the appropriate policies, processes, procedures and LCME Standards in the area of development and delivery of the M1/M2 curriculum, educational and student support initiatives. S/he plans, implements, manages, and directs support of M1/M2 curricular requirements, biomedical science modules, integrated practice of medicine and distinction tracks, data management, record keeping and reporting and provides administrative and support services activities for first- and second-year medical students at the UofSC School of Medicine Greenville. S/he ensures that all policies and procedures are followed and assures compliance with all UofSCSOMG and LCME requirements for the 1st and 2nd year medical student education, while supporting medical student modules and assessment.
The Manager of M1/M2 Curriculum is responsible for support of the educational programming for the M1 and M2 years. S/he plans, prepares and disseminates information concerning M1/M2 student educational programming and support of operations. S/he will serve as the knowledge expert for 1st and 2nd year educational programming (from implementation, developing and establishing uniform processes and procedures and ensuring academic requirements are met and reported (including M1/M2 class scheduling, records, evaluations, etc.) Assesses current program design and recommends revisions to existing procedures, policy, etc. Will be available to students with general questions including scheduling issues, course requirements, course evaluations, grades, transcripts, graduation requirements, faculty advisors, and timelines. S/he manages support for the student evaluation process for the M1/M2 years and oversees the maintenance and continuous improvement of a learning management system with the development of in-service training workshops and guidance for users
Directs and manages the design, implementation and daily administrative activities for various special projects for the School of Medicine Greenville and its committees. Participates in ensuring the progress, implementation and execution of the Curriculum Inventory Report and aspects of the SOMG strategic plan related to curriculum. Partakes in management decision making through interpreting policies and rules surrounding special projects and committee management. Recommends new process implementation. Participates in development, maintenance, and implementation of policies and procedures related to educational affairs of the school.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master’s degree in education or related field and 4 years experience in curriculum management or development, project management, education or bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience
