We are seeking a professional like you to provide Planning and Scheduling expertise for the Project Management Office at the BASF Corporate Engineering Services Office. Your ability to communicate effectively in teams will allow you to provide planning and scheduling services, direct support and oversight to BASF Business Units. Your in-depth technical knowledge about overall turnaround and project planning, schedule risk analysis, risk management, and detailed scheduling work processes will allow you to provide planning and scheduling expertise on multiple turnarounds and projects of various size and complexity.
This position requires 50-80% travel

Formula for Success
Leveraging your educational background in an Engineering, Construction Management, other Technical discipline or Business and/or your extensive professional experience in planning and scheduling within a project/construction, petrochemical, oil and gas or similar heavy industrial field, you will initiate, lead and support continuous improvement projects which include the development of methods, tools, and processes to improve planning and scheduling to support the goals of the Center of Expertise for Project Management and Cost.
Your strong communications skills will be a valued asset as you interface with Operations to provide technical support and recommendations on methods and improvements to minimize problems.
Your strong analytical skills will allow proper assessments of projects to identify potential issues and will allow you to support development and recommend solutions via communication and support with management.
Using your keen attention to detail, you will develop a detailed and optimized turnaround execution schedule that links dependent activities and shows an accurate and integrated timeline for the scope of work (capital projects executed during the TAR, operational, and maintenance).
Your strong organizational skills will be advantageous as you perform TAR manpower leveling to identify and optimize labor resource requirements.
Your solid computer skills (including Primavera, Excel, SAP, other third-party applications) will serve you well as you update schedule and report progress during the TAR on a routine basis and generate predefined look-ahead schedules and ad hoc reports on an as needed basis to provide day-to-day scheduling direction to the turnaround execution team and the contractors .
Demonstrating any knowledge you may have of maintenance work execution for all types of crafts, you will track and report on turnaround critical path activities to help the turnaround execution team to determine prioritization of work.
Integrating discovery work into the TAR schedule, you will help determine manpower and schedule duration impact.
