The Campaign Manager is responsible for the overall running of the annual Pitt United Way Campaign.
Working with the United Way of Southwestern PA's staff the Manager will: * Design & implement year-round fundraising, communications, marketing, & stewardship strategies * Delegate campaign tasks to teammates who are assigned to help with campaign coordination * Partner with the Campaign Chair(s) appointed annually by the Chancellor * Form & advise the steering committee & lead steering committee meetings * Recruit & train more than 400 campaign volunteers who serve on campaign committees in their departments * Form the data acquisition team & lead data acquisition meetings * Manage campaign solicitation & thank you mailings * Oversee gift processing * Plan & program the campaign kickoff & thank you events * Develop & deliver progress reports & strategy updates for all stakeholders & volunteers * Formulate & manage campaign budget * Organize campaign prize drawings & volunteer recognition events; * Develop special initiatives or targets such as the Retiree Campaign, Union Campaign, Women's Leadership Campaign, & other on-campus campaign events & initiatives * Assist in the promotion of United Way volunteer opportunities & other on-campus programs & partnerships
Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years experience. Incumbent must be able to work independently to design & lead a successful university-wide fundraising campaign with little supervision. Background in non-profit fundraising & volunteer management is desired. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, communication, & customer services skills are desired.
