A Boulder, Colorado award winning African safari operator, is looking for a full-time employee to join our team working in operations, logistics, customer service, and office administration. We seek a grounded, mature, skilled individual. A college degree is a must. One to two years work experience, a plus. Must be proficient with project management.
We are an entrepreneurial-oriented, growing safari company. We offer exceptional wildlife viewing to our guests, so they see Africa with new eyes. At the same time, we work to bring ethical travel practices into the industry. We intend to be a part of Africa’s future by helping to support and train a new generation of guides, conservationists, as well as business men and women.
Duties and responsibilities:
Operations - Ensure flawless logistics and successful departures through coordination between our office and our counterparts in Africa. Build relationships with our African guides and staff. Trouble shoot and solve problems throughout our operations in Africa. Ensure quality control both in the United States and in Africa. Requires proficiency with Word, Outlook, and Excel. We’d like an international mindset.
Finance – Manage and process invoicing for customers and vendors. Requires proficiency with Excel and Adobe.
Customer Service – Assist travelers in preparing for their safaris, answer customer inquiries on the phone, prepare, coordinate, mail traveler materials, prepare itineraries using our own in-house Builder program; and create traveler office files. Requires proficiency with Excel, Word, and In Design. Requires familiarity with In Design.
Office Administration – Be the point of contact to keep our office humming. Manage office workflows. Set and track reminders for a myriad of deadlines each week, month, and year. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
Team player – Punctual, attentive to detail, outgoing, and willing to work across cultures with our Africa partners. Be able to work harmoniously within a small team environment.
Computer and Technology – Must be comfortable with the use of technology and essential software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, and In Design, as well as social media platforms. Provide us as much information as possible about your computer and technology skills.
