As a member of the Advancement Team, the Fulfillment Coordinator builds relationships through moves management by stewarding key prospects and patrons. In collaboration with the Major Gift Officer, the Coordinator is responsible for the growth and health of the Governing Member program.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and distribute lapsed donor reports on a monthly basis
Lead the quarterly GM renewal process including letter and donor list approval, monitoring appeal metrics and coordinating follow up strategies
Manage Governing Member pre & post event logistics, guest list and RSVPs
Leads special project as identified by Advancement management
Support Major Gift Officers through premium benefit tracking, formatting engagement proposals, presentations, correspondence or face-to-face meetings
Lead the Governing Member new season ticketing & benefit distribution and ensure new members receive accurate and timely benefit materials
Provide internal fulfillment support to Musical Feast fundraising events
Consistently and appropriately record all donor steps, activities and customer service issues in Tessitura
Regularly attend DSO concerts and events, including the Donor Lounge as part of the overall cultivation strategy
Provide support for signature events as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree required
Prefer 1-2 years of donor management or project/event planning in a non-profit environment
Demonstrated ability to provide donors, volunteers and community partners with exceptional customer service and first-class experiences
Project management skills with a track record of exceeding expectations while delivering on-time and on-budget results in a complex, fast paced environment
Familiarity with Tessitura or Raiser's Edge platforms, a plus

About Detroit Symphony Orchestra
Internationally acclaimed conductor Leonard Slatkin is Music Director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) and the Orchestre National de Lyon (ONL). He also maintains a rigorous schedule of guest conducting and is active as a composer, author, and educator.
Highlights of the 2015-16 season include a three-week Brahms festival in Detroit; engagements with the St. Louis Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and NHK Symphony in Tokyo; debuts with Beijing's China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra; and a summer tour of Japan and China with the ONL.
Slatkin’s more than 100 recordings have garnered seven Grammy awards and 64 nominations. His recent Naxos recordings include works by Saint-Saëns, Ravel, and Berlioz (with the ONL) and music by Copland, Rachmaninov, Borzova, McTee, and John Williams (with the DSO). In addition, he has recorded the complete Beethoven and Tchaikovsky symphonies with the DSO (available online as digital downloads).
A recipient of the prestigious National Medal of Arts, Slatkin also holds the rank of Chevalier in the French Legion of Honor. He has received Austria’s Declaration of Honor in Silver, the Americ...an Symphony Orchestra League’s Gold Baton Award, and the 2013 ASCAP Deems Taylor Special Recognition Award for his book, Conducting Business.
Slatkin has conducted virtually all of the leading orchestras in the world. As Music Director, he has held posts with the New Orleans, St. Louis, and National symphony orchestras, and he was Chief Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. He has served as Principal Guest Conductor of London’s Philharmonia and Royal Philharmonic, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, and the Minnesota Orchestra.
