The BU School of Public Health (SPH) is looking for a creative, self-motivated Digital/Social Media Editor to join our award-winning Communications team. As Digital/Social Media Editor, you will create and post daily content on the school's official social media channels. You will work in close collaboration with the Director of COM, Editors of SPH Today and SPH This Week, and Multimedia Director to develop ideas, plan campaigns, outreach, and engagement strategies to build audience engagement. BUSPH's mission is to improve the health of local, national and international populations, particularly the disadvantaged, underserved and vulnerable through excellence and innovation in education, research and service.

Plan, create and publish daily digital content on all social media platforms including student, faculty, staff, and school news, research, awards, and signature programming events. Create Instagram posts and stories, post 5-7 times daily on Twitter and monitor and engage followers, post daily content to Facebook and LinkedIn
Track and report insights and analytics across social media platforms to increase audience engagement and community, and develop strategies based on analytics
Working with SPH This Week editor, post faculty media mentions on website and on social media
In consultation with the Director of COM and Dean's Office, create social media strategies for signature programs: including hashtags, event promotion content, live event tweeting, and engagement during and after events
Photograph school events to post to social media channels and email campaigns, in consultation with/as assigned by Editors and Multimedia Director
Administrative/support tasks as required
Bachelor's degree required
1-2 years of experience with social media in a professional setting
Proficiency with social media platforms and engagement tracking: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
Knowledge of and interest in social media trends and overall best practices
Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle the demands of a fast-paced, multi-faceted, changing environment
Background or strong interest in public health and social justice preferred
Experience with Sprinklr social media platform a plus
