Work with Product, Channel, UX, Cards, Mobile technical and business teams for the delivery of solutions for SVBs Online & Mobile Banking applications.
Reporting to Global Digital Banking Development and Support Director, in the role of IT Manager working closely with a seasoned team of systems analysts, software engineers, application support teams, vendors/development partners and other stakeholders on Global Digital Banking application development and support.
Drive both planning and decision making and delivery for both systems maintenance and project work from initial estimation through to production deployment as well as ongoing system ownership and production support.
Performs impact analysis of proposed changes on existing systems, new capabilities, identifies system priorities, and technology solutions; looks for additional solution options or trade-offs.
Provide delivery and development leadership (Planning, Architecture, Design, Development) for medium to large sized new initiative projects
Oversee the technical solutions delivery that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance scalability, and reliability adhering to company's architectural standards and policies.
Accountable for ultimate success of new project delivery and has innate desire to create an excellent delivery experience throughout the SDLC process for all members of the team
Drive department best practices on analysis, development, system ownership, vendor management and implementation and ongoing system ownership & application support and ensure teams' adherence to company standards and policies.
Creates and maintains application architecture documentation and related assets/artifacts. Be the go-to person for all teams on architecture or integration discussions for systems in your portfolio.
Manage operating budget, vendor relationships, contract renewals and systems road-maps
Work on several development initiatives concurrently and provide subject matter expertise in areas of integration, applications dependencies, standards, platform development and execution

Proven leadership with ability to lead multiple teams in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment
A willingness to mentor people inside/outside of the Information Technology department on best practices, system design principles, and computing industry trends
Strong financial management experience for both operating and project budgets
Strong Vendor & contract management skills, excellent organizational skills for managing a broad portfolio of tools and partnerships
Ability to assist junior team members with their professional development
Ability to mesh well with the existing management team by being a good listener, a team builder and an articulate advocate of their business and technical vision
Demonstrated ability to bring the benefits of technology to solve business issues while also proactively managing costs and risk
Prior experience with regulated financial organization is a plus, preferably with experience in the credit domain
Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile/SCRUM Methodologies in a distributed team environment is a plus
Five or more years of similar experience in Leadership roles
Strong expertise with the end-to-end implementation of technologies of all scales
Experience in all aspects of software delivery management - analysis, design, estimating, and implementing technology architectures
Expertise in enterprise architecture practices, specifically in information, application, infrastructure and security
Strong knowledge and interest in secure coding practices, and secure software development life cycle (SSDLC)
Implementation experience of software design patterns and best practices applicable to Java and J2EE. is a must as well as working knowledge of UI technologies like Angular JS, Knockout, Polymer JS and ability to direct the usage of open source software as needed in designing complex solutions.
Excellent estimation, capacity management and project management skills, including but not limited to: planning, options/scenario modelling, road-map management, meeting management, reporting, delegation, motivation, and measurement
Skilled at identifying and evaluating new technological developments and gauging their appropriateness for the business
Ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
Able to articulate the trade-offs at the application, system, and department level to the internal customer in a credible way during the whole life-cycle of the technology adoption through to decommission. Ability to clearly explain issues of reliability, scalability, and extensibility with respect to a technical solution.
