CIB Technology - Rates & Credit Application Support - AVP
Seeking a self-motivated Application Support IT specialist with core competencies in Unix, Sql, Python, and Geneos, along with previous experience of working in the financial Industry (preferably Fixed Income domain).
The ideal candidate will act as a single point of contact to the Operations & Business users, to restore technical capability with urgency.
Providing technical expertise to restore application functionality, and liaising with Dev/Infra Teams as needed
Managing communications for major production incidents, and conducting internal Post Incident Reviews
Active participation in day to day Monitoring improvements
Owning and tracking of open user & self-identified issues/requests
Overseeing/deploying change releases into the production environment (may include Out of Hours activities)
Active participation in regular capacity and continuity reviews (may include Out of Hours activities)
Identifying and implementing process-improvement initiatives
Skills & Qualifications
2-5+ yrs working in similar technical support role with financial services background, ideally within a global investment bank
Educated to a degree level or equivalent
Good experience with Oracle or similar relational databases and comfortable with SQL
Extensive experience with Linux platforms and not afraid of the command line
Knowledge or experience of Control-M desirable and advantageous
Knowledge or experience of Geneos will be highly regarded
Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders (D's & MD's)
Knowledge of Agile & ITIL principles of Release, Incident, and Problem Management
Ability to liaise with users at all levels including Front and Middle Office in a number of Deutsche Bank locations
Ability to prioritize tasks and assess the impact/urgency of the incident in a high-paced trading environment.
Understanding of the project life cycle and release procedures
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
