The Director provides leadership to the LionPATH Development and Maintenance Office (LDMO). The LDMO provides specialized and functional support for Penn State's student administrative system, PeopleSoft's Campus Solutions. Responsibilities include: efficient operation of the student administrative system supporting Admissions, Advising, Registrar, Bursar, Financial Aid, and other core student service areas; planning for system improvements; working with the appropriate governance committees and Penn State IT on setting strategic direction, priorities and needs; ensuring business operations support is provided efficiently, accurately and on time; providing administrative supervision of staff; and selecting and overseeing the work of appropriate consulting services. This position will report to the Senior Director for Enterprise Projects. This position has accountability for successful on-time, on-budget completion of the LDMO activities and operational support for LionPATH. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master's degree and experience working in higher education, student administrative systems, and management experience with increasing levels of responsibility is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to operate on a strategic level and demonstrate appropriate awareness of the requirements and motivations of administration, customers and vendors. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders' needs; bring diverse audiences together to meet common goals; exhibit a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion; have demonstrated ability to successfully organize and lead large complex projects; and demonstrate proven ability to influence and lead skilled functional and technical teams. This position requires the capacity to originate change, impact results and foster a continuous quality improvement environment, as well as the ability to effectively work with faculty and staff at all levels of the organization.
