The Vice President role is to manage fulfilment of all aspects of the Innovation Next program to designated member-corporates. Vice Presidents work closely with senior executives and their corporate development, business development, venture investment and digital and innovation heads, to maintain a current view of their priorities and areas of strategic focus. These inputs then guide the VP to leverage SVB's unique platform of connections, insights and expertise in the global startup ecosystem to lead in the delivery of:
Consistent monitoring of market conditions and key events within member's industries with particular consideration towards disruption and innovation, compiling content to provide regular updates and ideas/though-leadership relevant to the member's strategic goals.
Research and delivery of data-driven research, reports and briefings as relevant and agreed prior with members.
Plan, deliver, and generally own all aspects of analysis, reports, events, experiences and executive briefings as agreed prior with members.
Continuously navigate, filter and present start-ups from SVB's client base and the wider innovation landscape in order to surface relevant opportunities for members spanning investment, partnership and acquisition
Act as a general extension of the Member's innovation team within the wider innovation economy through understanding, representation and general pursuit of Member interests.
Throughout all of the above manage, develop and provide mentorship for Associates supporting you in this role.
Between 5 to 10 years of proven performance in enterprise innovation, venture capital, corporate venture capital, corporate development, investment banking or strategy consulting type roles preferred
Degree in business or related field of study (MBA preferred)
Highly experienced working with C-level and Senior Executives to understand their innovation goals, provide a consultative approach to their strategy and recommend appropriate actions, programs and partners
Awareness of and enthusiasm for the technology industry trends and imperatives that impact our clients businesses
