Task Join our large team (about 100 people) in our Frankfurt head office and benefit from fantastic learning opportunities! You will get insights into our business by taking part in our projects & day-to-day work (e.g. preparation of steering committee meetings, analysis of regulatory developments, performance calculations, etc.). We offer an exciting and international environment where you can even be part of some of our digital initiatives that will transform our bank and the industry as we know it today! In parallel, we encourage you to write your Master thesis with us: alongside mentoring, you would have the chance to benefit from our large network of experienced banking professionals. Finally, you may have such a good time with us that you would want to become a Commerzbanker! We like to offer fitting interns a traineeship/graduate program (permanent contract) upon completion of their studies - a clever way to start your career. You may wonder, what is Treasury actually all about?Treasury is a key group management function with an important mandate, namely to manage the financial resources liquidity, funding and capital as well as the structure of Commerzbank's balance sheet (e.g. the various currencies or the mixture between fixed and floating interest rates). All this needs to be accomplished against the background of a dynamic regulatory framework and in an ever-changing financial market environment. For us, teamwork is of paramount importance as our many tasks demand different experts with different skill sets working in close cooperation with each other. For instance, some of us analyse the European rules on liquidity and funding risk and translate them into risk measures for Commerzbank; others actively trade liquidity in secured and unsecured money markets or refinance the bank by issuing covered bonds. Some of us make sure that the prepayment risk in mortgage loans is priced properly; others hedge this risk by using various interest rate derivatives. Some of us are collaborating with other banks on the development of digital cash or DLT-based processes for collateral management; others are responsible for managing our multi-billion-euro security portfolios. And since a lot of this requires an advanced and bespoke IT infrastructure and the nifty use of data, all of us need to embrace Commerzbank's vision to become a digital technology company.
