The Executive Assistant to the Dean provides high-level strategic, confidential, and administrative support to the Dean. Knowledge of University policies and procedures in order to ensure the smooth operation of the Dean’s office is required. The incumbent in this position must also keep the Dean aware of current/sensitive issues and deadlines. The Executive Assistant makes independent evaluations regarding the Dean’s commitments.
- At least 4 years professional related experience; - Demonstrated success with policy/project management; - Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and initiative; - Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills; - High attention to detail; adapts well to changing priorities; - Ability to research, compile and analyze data for projects/proposals as needed; - Outstanding organizational skills; - Excellent written and oral communication skills; - Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and/or related frameworks; - Demonstrated ability to work productively on a team and to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse students, staff, faculty, and community partners; - Successful completion of a background check.
- Experience managing projects or strategic initiatives in a university setting.
