The College of Pharmacy is recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE) Assistant Director of Admissions. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities. Under general supervision from the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, this individual will provide leadership for the administration of student recruitment or retention program within admissions.
Oversee and direct the full lifecycle of the recruitment process for the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program. Manage the operations and administration of strategies, programs and events designed to effectively recruit prospective students.
Create, execute and evaluate strategies to meet and/or exceed recruitment goals with periodic evaluation of recruitment goals in response to market trends.
Compile and analyze data related to recruitment goals. Interpret and disseminate the information to colleagues and administrators; adjust recruitment processes when needed to increase yield and facilitate continuous improvement.
Schedule, coordinate and attend all recruitment events related to PharmD program, including college fairs, graduate and professional school fairs, University admissions events, and College of Pharmacy events. (*overnight travel may be required)
Develop and implement communication plans and outreach strategies to enhance recruitment efforts and generate inquiries from prospective students.
Provide support and assistance to the undergraduate pre-pharmacy program at the University to facilitate application and enrollment of prospective students.
Develop strategies to enhance recruitment pipeline for Connections to Pharmacy: Early Assurance Pathway (EAP). Manage the EAP application and admissions process for high school students and current UC students.
Work with other Admissions staff to provide timely response to high volume of student and parent phone calls, emails, and online inquiries.
Provide prospective students, families, and school officials with information regarding the admissions process and criteria, policies and procedures for enrollment, and up-to-date requirements for PharmD program. Schedule in-person meetings with prospective students when requested.
Establish and maintain relationships with local feeder institutions. Build relationships with key faculty and staff at the University of Cincinnati and other regional institutions to spread awareness of College of Pharmacy academic programs and develop recruitment pipelines. Facilitate the implementation of articulation agreements with regional institutions.
Stay abreast of trends in student recruiting and changes in academic programs; assist with development of long-range plans and strategies to achieve unit, department and university goals for areas of responsibility.
Assist in the conduction and coordination of PharmD admissions and interview processes.
Work collaboratively with the University’s Office of Admissions and other University officials to coordinate recruitment activities and marketing efforts for the PharmD program.
In coordination with College and/or University marketing personnel, assist in the development of promotional materials for use in recruitment (flyers, digital marketing, brochures, social media, etc.) for the Doctor of Pharmacy program.
Serve on advisory boards and committees within the College of Pharmacy as requested.
Work with RxIT to develop and maintain College website content pertaining to the PharmD program.
Assist with applicant pre-requisite course review in PharmCAS and ensure application completion prior to review by Admissions Committee.
Assist with triage of daily student affairs and Office of Student Affairs front desk activity.
Collaborate with other office team members to complete duties as the need arises.
Master's degree in related educational program, student affairs administration, counseling, or other related field with at least one (1) year of experience - OR- Bachelor's degree with three (3) year of experience -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years of experience; -OR- seven (7) years of experience; experience must be in a related field.
Digital marketing and/or use of social media outlets for recruitment; basic knowledge of Catalyst and Slate functions preferred.
