1. Acts as a project leader for the instructional design process for new online projects at YSPH. 2. Identifies and suggests pedagogic and technological approaches for new online programs. 3. Thinks critically about workflow and practice, and identifies creative solutions for process improvements. 4. Develops and provides training on the usage of instructional technologies, and other software and hardware, to support online learning at YSPH. 5. Collaborates with faculty and the online education team at YSPH to design courses and/or specific course elements that effectively support a broad audience of adult, part-time students with wide breadth of academic and technology backgrounds, significant time constraints, and demanding learning goals. 6. Builds consensus among stakeholders involved in online learning projects and develops design documents that reflect the consensus to ensure efficient development and implementation of projects. 7. Provides technical and logistical support to ensure production of consistent and high-quality instructional materials including course websites, student interactions, presentation materials, etc. 8. Liaises with the Yale Poorvu Center's Digital Education team to ensure smooth functioning of all areas related to teaching technology. 9. Highly responsive to requests for assistance and troubleshooting problems for online programs. 10. Manages assigned project tasks to ensure timely and high quality outcomes and provides regular status reports on assigned projects. 11. Works with the Director of Online and Certificate Education to develop and report on metrics that measure usage, and satisfaction for all technology and educational services provided. 12. Researches current and emerging e-learning technologies and industry best practices and implements the best solutions to meet learners' needs.
Preferred Education: Master's in Education, Instructional Design, Online Education or related field. Content knowledge of public health a plus. Excellent writing and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities accordingly. Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
