The University of Kentucky Department of Radiology is currently accepting applications for a Women's Radiology Fellowship position, beginning July 1, 2020.
The fellowship program is designed to fully prepare graduates to assume the role of lead interpreting physician in any breast imaging facility. Training includes all aspects of breast imaging including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, tomosynthesis and interventional procedures, including percutaneous procedures (stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI-guided core biopsies, vacuum assisted biopsies, cyst aspirations, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations and galactography).
Fellows also participate in all aspects of the Department’s academic and research activities, including departmental conferences, journal clubs, interdisciplinary conferences, resident/medical student teaching, and scholarly/research/quality improvement projects. In support of these activities, fellows are provided with faculty mentorship, instruction in research design/analytic methods, academic time and the opportunity to attend a national scientific meeting during the fellowship training year.
