Position Summary: The Senior System Developer supports the successful implementation and ongoing operations of ICAMP, a new enterprise Space Planning, Asset Management, and Condition Assessment system based on the IBM Tririga platform; allowing the Office of the President to identify, prioritize and estimate the cost of deferred maintenance of all real-property assets across all University of California campuses and medical centers. Provides both functional and technical support throughout the entire Software Development Life-Cycle (Concept, Scope, Design, Develop, Testing, Implementation and Maintenance); reporting directly to the program manager. Evaluates new technologies including performing moderate to complex cost / benefit analyses. May lead a team of systems / infrastructure professionals.
The Senior System Developer is responsible for project deliverables, as assigned by the program manager. A key focus will be supporting the definition of process, requirements and organizing project components into deliverables; identifying areas of configuration, customization, and optimization and providing solutions that meet the business requirements. The Senior System Developer will be responsible for developing and directing the management of all unit testing and integrated system testing and also responsible for leading data conversion and migration tasks.
The Senior System Developer applies advanced systems infrastructure concepts and campus, medical center or Office of the President or institutional objectives to resolve highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Selects methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. May give presentations to associated team and other technical units.

Duty 1: Serves as primary University system technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the assessment, design, configuration, development and testing phases of project implementation and management. Integrates hardware and software solutions for seamless service delivery to end user community across UC campuses, UCOP, and UC medical centers. Applies advanced systems infrastructure concepts and institutional objectives to resolve highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Leverages deep knowledge of configuration, coding, and best practices for each of the major IBM TRIRIGA modules and other systems that form ICAMP suite of services. Provides expertise and support with the implementation and integration of IBM TRIRIGA and associated systems. Uses TRIRIGA expertise to perform GAP analyses between new requirements and current capabilities. Assists project management implementation team build-out TRIRIGA DEV, TEST, TRAINING and PRODUCTION environments (e.g., TRIRIGA Integration Framework, Java, and BIRT report writing) Applies advanced systems concepts to define, design, and translates business requirements from SMEs into forms, workflows and other TRIRIGA requirements. Provides options and the 'state of the possible' to meet requirements. Guides the design and architecture of complex enterprise software, hardware, access, balancing, security, and interfaces for building asset management across the UC system. Manages the daily IT operations of the ICAMP platform, an enterprise asset management system supporting all campuses Function:System Analysis, Integrated Hardware & Software Development /Configuration and Operation Percent: 50
Duty 2: Responsible for the creation and execution of all Unit Test case scenarios and and execution of all Integration Test case scenarios. Develops and writes highly complex and robust scripts supporting testing for enterprise system. Responsible for addressing all defects discovered during Unit, Integration and Regression test cycles. Responsible for planning migration, business continuity and operations, and enterprise data integrity. Ongoing mentoring and professional development of less experienced staff. Duty 3: Collaborates with customer and technical project team members to translate complex and diffuse user requirements into information, navigation, and UI design requirements. Performs complex and advanced Consults with project team to ensure decisions can be executed as required. Supports the project team defining the scope of Agile development phases. Duty 4: Maintains complex security systems and processes ensuring the integrity of enterprise systems. Interprets and adopts campus, medical center or Office of the President system and regulation-based security policies to control access to networked resources. Provides recommendations and requirements on network access controls. Function:Access and System Security Percent: 15
Job Requirements Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years experience implementing large-scale enterprise asset management and condition assessment solutions for clients across different industries in the public and private sectors. Additional experience managing software development life-cycle engagements, with experience in Agile/Scrum development required. 8+ years expereince with Executive Level management; guiding through software design and requirements definition processes. Recommended Skills: Oracle, SQL Server, WebLogic, WebSphere Software Applications, IBM TRIRIGA, IBM Maximo Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with campus departments at all levels; ability to effectively interact with a diverse professional staff both independently and as a team member in a busy environment. Ability to learn and use the internal CPFM business system. Able to analyze problems, determine solutions, and make decisions based on analysis. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment Possess highly developed sense of customer service Ability to display diplomacy in interactions.

Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel and Access).
Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance for integrated hardware and software solutions.
Demonstrated skills associated with adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs. Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of how system management actions affect other systems, system users and dependent / related functions.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and abilities associated with system problem identification and resolution. Experience with design, configuration, operation, repair, and tuning of technology systems.
Advanced knowledge of computer security best practices and policies including demonstrated experience securing most complex server-based software.
Advanced experience writing and editing the most complex scripts used to perform system maintenance and administration. Required
