Position Summary: Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. The Data Systems Analyst will plan, design, and administer data-based systems (MS Access & SQL) in conjunction with Tririga Platform Reporting tools to facilitate ICAMP data processing activities, operational reporting, and high-level program/system-wide status and readouts.

Duty 1: Plan, design, and administer data-based systems (MS Access & SQL) in conjunction with Tririga Platform Reporting tools to facilitate ICAMP data processing activities. Develop and implement 'data mining' methods and procedures for extracting information from the FCA/Capital and Risk Management data and transform it into an understandable structures for further operational and strategic analysis. Develop scenario planning and decision support methods and procedures to support strategic asset management goals, objectives and portfolio optimization. Function:ICAMP Data Administration Percent: 30
Duty 2: Create and manage facility condition assessment data quality assurance reports to identify data gaps and or inconsistencies with FCA asset inventory creation and opportunity costing. Create and manage FCA Program status reports to manage and monitor the campus progress with the FCA activities by evaluating FCA project and task data. Use the database to normalize and clean campus building and space inventory to prepare it for Tririga upload and mainframe processing. Use the database to support importing campus asset data into the Tririga platform for association activities during the Facility Condition Assessment. Create and manage overall Tririga data integrity and error checking reporting to ensure Tririga system data and associations are intact; identify stranded records due to inconsistent or incomplete Tririga workflows Plans and conducts data analysis efforts for highly complex small and medium-sized projects that may include managing partnerships between multiple institutions. Establishes or maintains information documentation standards such as data naming standards and value domain descriptions. Schedules and conducts analysis sessions. Documents ownership, custody and access requirements for data subject areas. Function:FCA Program Management Percent: 30
Duty 3: In conjunction with the ICAMP System Administrator, create ICAMP Tririga reporting to support end-user and management requirements. Create detailed ICAMP Capital and Risk Management reports that reflect the overall view of the UC Real Property portfolio. Includes detailed asset inventory, risk scoring, and costing views that can be analyzed by building, campus and on a system-wide basis. Coordinates reviews of data models and data definitions. Initiates, designs and implements detailed interfaces between computer systems. Function:ICAMP Reporting Percent: 30
Duty 4: Create and manage RSMeans annual data update process - comparing existing catalog data to new RSMeans data to isolate changes to inventory and cost assemblies. Create and manage UC Real Property Asset Catalog integrity reporting. Initiates, designs, executes and sustains metadata for collections of digital objects. Function:Data Evaluation Percent: 10
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Ability to prepare complex data models unassisted.
Experience in data integration and the specification of data services.
Proven modeling and information design skills.
Familiarity with highly complex logical data design and data mapping or data conversion.
Advanced knowledge of data management systems, practices and standards.
Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
Advanced analytical and design skills, including the ability to abstract information requirements from real-world processes to understand information flows in computer systems.
