International Systems Support Administrator - Global Operations - (19001488)
The Finance Department is responsible for the treasury, purchasing, budgeting, accounting, bursar, payables and post award grant administration for this doctoral research university. Tufts is comprised of 12 colleges and schools spanning three campuses, enrolling approximately 5,000 undergraduate students, almost 2,500 students in graduate programs, and nearly 1,800 professional school students. With over $2 billion in assets, the University's operating budget totals $700 million and the five-year capital budget is $260 million. The University's finance activities reflect Tufts' complexity, depth and breadth and also its entrepreneurial spirit in a decentralized organizational environment.
Tufts is implementing the TerraDotta (TD) Outgoing International Programs/Study Abroad module (Outgoing Module). In FY18 Tufts had approximately 1,200 students travel for learning opportunities abroad. These programs and funding opportunities were managed by 24 offices across Tufts using management systems including paper, SLATE, Salesforce, Trunk, and online forms (e.g. Qualtrics). The proliferation of overseas programs throughout the university, coupled with the increasingly complex health and safety considerations, Title IX, IRB, and other issues increase risk when using this decentralized model. The Outgoing Module will allow all these offices to use a uniform system which will improve efficiency and transparency, improve risk management, and will connect to TD's Safety Module, which will provide additional efficiency related to travel safety.
This position will primarily support the implementation, onboarding, and maintenance of the Outgoing Module, providing a single owner/point of contact for this enterprise system and all related policies, procedures, and support. Further, this position will support other international support systems as needed, including but not limited to, the travel registry, and the global payroll system. The position will also be required to develop training materials for the current systems.
