Oversee the work activities of the entire Financial Systems department and strategically manages local, national, and global Financial Systems projects and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides oversight and management of the Financial Systems department that is responsible for troubleshooting and developing software used by Client Accounting Services and Real Estate Management teams.
Identifies, analyzes and recommends to senior management enhancements, additions, and changes on technical, software and/or process-related projects on a national level.
Manages and supports the development, tracking, and implementation of Financial Systems process efficiency and technology projects on a national and global level.
Oversees and ensures all national projects and process enhancements are in compliance with acceptable accounting practices and applicable internal and external policies and regulations.
Monitors benchmarking and metrics to manage labor costs for projects. Advises leadership team on resource constraints and impact on the timelines of strategic projects.
Oversees team communications that provide project and team updates.
Develops strategic plans for development and support initiatives nationally and globally.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, MIS or related field required. A minimum of 10 years experience financial systems management required. Demonstrated expert knowledge of software related to real estate accounting and/or financial management systems. A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Lean Six Sigma Green, Orange or Black Belt certification preferred. Project management training and/or certification preferred.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and oversees department budget.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

Advanced knowledge of computer software, hardware and systems integration. Expert knowledge of knowledge of financial management systems. Requires a high level of commitment to customer service.
