We are seeking a TAR Engineer to provide execution leadership in all assigned phases of the Small/Medium Turnaround management processes across multiple facility areas. You will identify, champion, implement and sustain global and site processes and best practices to ensure TAR planning and execution are achieved at the highest safety standards, with maximum efficiency and at minimal cost. You will support the TAR Manager and TAR teams as needed to adhere to standardized processes and procedures and maintain documentation in the proper structure. In this role, you will be responsible for daily reporting to the TAR Manager the during execution phase and you will occasionally serve as Deputy TAR Manager.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your educational background in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or other engineering discipline or Construction Management and your professional experience in a chemical, petrochemical or similar manufacturing operation or construction environment, you will assist the TAR Manager and Cost organization to develop an accurate TAR budget, schedule, and organization which is in line with the Business Unit's objectives. This will help ensure the TAR scope is in line with business objectives.
Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will work with the TARM team and Technical Procurement to develop and implement an appropriate TAR contracting and material procurement strategy. This will ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and provide the best overall service value and material total cost of ownership.
Your professional hands-on experience in Maintenance Engineering in support of turnaround operations is essential as you will ensure the development/clarification of TAR work scope and TAR objectives in order to challenge and optimize the scope to be executed inside the TAR window. Optimizing scope should both reduce TAR spending and ensure facility post start-up operating objectives are achieved.
Successfully engaging across the business, you will ensure planning and organizational deliverables support the development and execution of effective TAR logistics processes. Effective TAR logistics are essential to achieve TAR budget and schedule targets.
Demonstrating your leadership ability, you will be tasked with supervising day-to-day work during the TAR execution phase.
Your robust skills in planning, execution, and follow through will be challenged as you assist in establishing, tracking, and reporting on TAR performance KPI's to help assess the effectiveness of the planning effort and identify areas for improvement, and assist in capturing TAR "Lessons Learned" and fully assesses the TAR after completion to continuously improve future TAR performance.
Utilizing your previous project leadership in turnaround or capital project management combined with your proven ability to operate as the primary technical resource to others for all phases of TAR execution, you will provide technical expertise and leadership on area project teams and field work; to include, participation in RCFAs, identification of reliability near misses and capital projects.
Exercising your solid technical knowledge and experience in maintenance and/or construction work execution of all types of crafts and your strong computer skills (particularly MS Office and SAP or other enterprise software system), you will develop and implement all phases of TAR execution planning across various business units and maintenance areas to ensure business objectives are fully achieved, to include budgets, schedules, and work implementation strategies.
Using your strong communication skills and demonstrating your commitment to safety, you will develop and implement communication strategies to ensure safety policies and procedures are properly integrated into the TAR planning and adhered to during TAR execution. Safety is a top priority.
