Roles and Responsibilities
Lead a team in APAC in handling regulatory changes and maintaining a proper oversight and adherence to the control framework on the regulatory reporting within Operations
Implements the Bank's regulatory strategy, relevant internal policies and standards
As an Operations representative, contributes to the interpretation and definition of new requirements that arise from Regulatory and provide impact assessment of regulatory requirements on WM Operations processes.
Prepare scoping documents such as, Business Requirement (BRD) or Functional Specification Documents carrying it through from planning to execution; with the User Acceptance Testing conducted at high standard.
Develops and delivers appropriate training, knowledge transfer and cross training strategies.
Ensures planning on projects are in accordance for delivery within the required cost, quality and agreed scope – inclusive of appropriate milestone definition, work breakdown structure, dependencies, and assumptions.
Ensures execution and implementation of projects are according to the plan, any agreed changes to the plan and agreed project management standards (inclusive of documented standards, templates, frameworks, capturing in prescribed toolsets).
Ensures relevant and appropriate analysis, management information, and reporting is provided; maintaining the proper communication channel for stakeholder awareness and engagement.
Ensures proper documentation and tracking of requirements, plans, risks, issues, actions, costs, schedules, benefits, and other related project artefacts.
Utilizes the relevant governance bodies/steering committees for the purpose they are established.
Identify and analyse potential risks and issues that can lead to a bank policy or regulatory breach or delay in project delivery. Resolve or escalate as necessary.
Experience and exposure
Lead a team that handles Regulatory Requirements and Change or re-engineering projects in the financial services industry.
Demonstrates a detailed operational and technical understanding of financial products and trade lifecycle.
Subject Matter Expert within the field of relevance e.g. Regulatory, Operations processes.
Expert-level analytical skills, flexible regarding production problem solving.
Experienced in effective communications and positive influence on stakeholders and team members.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Fluent in English.
Displays a high degree of control awareness, attention to detail and focus on providing quality output.
A strong team player with the ability to work under pressure against tight timelines.
The ability to take ownership of processes, escalation and client query management.
The ability to work in a fast paced banking environment managing multiple priorities.
Open minded, able to share information with peers and stakeholders within division and across divisions and regions.
A broad knowledge of wealth management and global securities industry rules.
Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
Professional qualification on Project Management is an advantage.
