Position Summary: The UCOP Strategy and Program Management Office (SPMO) develops and implements multi-year strategic planning and portfolio management methodologies, metrics and tools; assists in matters of governance, organizational alignment, process design, project and change management; and manages multiple systemwide initiatives, programs and projects.
SPMO Program Managers independently use and apply advanced management consulting experience and skills to deliver programs and projects that involve multiple organizations and stakeholders; use advanced management concepts and objectives to support complex initiatives and programs and drive organizational effectiveness; regularly work on complex, strategic engagements where analysis of circumstances and information requires an in-depth evaluation of factors; and exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for developing solutions and obtaining results. Program Managers have strong program and project management reputations throughout the organization.

Duty 5: Assesses complex situations, identifies desired improvements, and works with executive and senior leaders to address issues, develop recommendations, and implement solutions in alignment with UCOP strategic goals and objectives. Function:Executive and Management Consultation Percent: 20
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
5-10 years related experience in and advanced knowledge of organizational development, management consulting field, theories, models to assess, design and implement customized, strategic organization programs, initiatives and projects.
Knowledge of the consulting process to effectively lead engagements from inception to conclusion.
Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, project planning and implementation skills.
Possesses strong consulting, relationship building, and strategic thinking skills.
Applies strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrates skill consulting to managers and groups at all levels.
