Reporting to the Senior Director of Special Events, the Auction & Events Manager will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the relationships with all entities that host Internal Events benefiting Make-A-Wish®. This position will require auction & event experience, fund development and the ability to manage and steward strong community relationships to support event staff. Perform all duties necessary to facilitate and execute auctions and raffles for all internal events to include but not limited to pre-solicitation, tracking, packaging, redemption and in-kind reporting & stewardship. Secure and coordinate all restaurant, brewery and winery vendors for signature Wine & Wishes event. Organize, facilitate and execute hospitality & entertainment for the annual Walk For Wishes event. Assist in preparing & maintain Project Management Timelines for internal events.
Have job-related experience facilitating and coordinating auctions & raffles. Knowledge of fundraising/development/event, auction & raffles related principles related to non-profit programs. 2-4 years of applicable work experience strongly desired. Possess strong auction & raffle implementation skills. Proficient in basic computer and internet applications, Microsoft Office-Excel, spreadsheets, Raiser’s Edge & Microsoft PowerPoint. Ability to work with event management software and event web sites. Possess strong verbal, public speaking and written communications skills. Possess organizational and project management skills.
