Under supervision of the Laboratory Director, the Research Associate/Project Manager will be responsible for managing overall project flow and priorities in a laboratory conducting multiple research projects on carbohydrate and lipid metabolism using stable isotope techniques. The candidate must be experienced with GC/MS, LC/MS, and sample preparation. Responsibilities include overseeing and training of lab technicians and assistants on laboratory protocols and procedures; managing overall workflow in the laboratory, including prioritization of laboratory projects; performing sample preparation; scheduling lab and equipment use time for the staff; purchasing lab supplies and reagents; maintaining equipment; coordinating data management and delivery; and overseeing the performance of laboratory technicians and assistants. The research associate/project manager will also ensure that all activities are in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
