As a key member of the Deans Office staff, reporting to the Assistant Dean of Administration, the Manager of Academic Initiatives manages the workflow for curriculum changes for both the colleges Academic Policy Committee approvals and the University's electronic curriculum proposals and forms, including reviewing changes and budgets for accuracy and format to conform to the college and university guidelines, researching and organizing benchmarking data for program analysis, and leading the bulletin editing process and degree advice updates and testing. They work closely with faculty to develop and format reports for new programs, program revisions, and also program learning outcome reports. They also assist with course scheduling, program evaluation, data analysis and program performance metrics and external reporting. They manage, as part of the office team, academic operations, such as systems configuration, workflow, and maintenance, and training and management of staff in coordination with various unit directors. They serve as the project manager for a large number of rotating and topical initiatives related to curriculum, programs, relevant software and training, data & document management, policy drafting and audits, and college-wide and external reporting.
B.A./B.S., Masters degree preferred. Excellent project management skills and ability to multi-task and work in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills. Three - Five years working in an office setting with supervisory responsibilities. Two - Three years working in a higher education setting strongly preferred with experience working with faculty in a support role preferred.
