Reporting to the Associate Director of Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for providing a high-quality, positive, and personalized prospective student experience for an assigned caseload of potential students.
The Assistant Director will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, coordinate the application process, and organize and execute on- and off- campus recruitment activities. In addition to managing daily outreach and communication with prospective students, the Assistant Director will participate in the development of detailed quarterly and annual recruitment plans, provide regular status reporting, and be responsible for the achievement of strategic enrollment goals.
Collaborate with Associate Director of Enrollment Management, academic program staff, and other key stakeholders to plan and execute recruitment strategies for assigned program areas, including serving as the primary point of contact for an assigned case load of prospective students
Assume primary responsibility for responding to all incoming inquiries, managing recruitment relationships with assigned prospective students, and seeking opportunities to enhance and personalize the prospective student experience
Execute proactive communication plans designed to engage with prospective students throughout the admissions funnel using multi-channel communication including but not limited to phone, email, and in-person opportunities
Contribute to a more robust understanding of the prospective student market and current best practices by monitoring how prospective students are hearing about the Graham School, assessing the corresponding quality of prospective students from different sources, and benchmarking competitor program outreach efforts to ensure best practice in Grahamâ™s recruitment efforts
Develop recruitment event calendar and collaborate with program staff and UChicago Grad to seek opportunities for prospective student engagement
Identify business development and partnership opportunities as appropriate and work with key staff to cultivate these partnerships
Responsible for achieving strategic and targeted goals from application through deposit by guiding prospective students through the funnel and coordinating with colleagues to increase yield and minimize melt
Manage the admissions and enrollment process, ensuring operational efficiency and positively influencing each recruitment cycles quantity and quality of completed applications
Coordinate the inflow of applications and ensure all required application documentation is secured within established deadlines
Resolve prospective student inquiries throughout the application submission cycle, troubleshooting application system and submission issues as necessary and acting as a liaison between program staff and prospective students
Provide support for student matriculation, participating in yield initiatives and student onboarding as directed
Ensure compliance-related document inquiries are met for admitted international students in collaboration with the Office of International Affairs and serve as enrollment management staff contact for student inquiries related to visa application timeline and process
Responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative processes necessary to support a high-quality prospective student experience
Establish and maintain relationships with all Graham organizations and individuals involved in program management as well as marketing and prospective student outreach
Collaborate with other Graham department colleagues, UChicago Grad, and other stakeholders to explore and execute effective and mutually beneficial programming
Assist in overseeing student workers, interns, and temporary employees as appropriate

Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferred
Minimum of two years of experience in higher education recruitment/admissions, student affairs, academic support or closely-related field required
Knowledge of marketing and social media vehicles for engaging with prospects preferred
Previous experience working in higher education preferred
Hyde Park Chicago campus; occasional events at Gleacher Center downtown Chicago; offsite meetings and travel as needed
Position will move to new location at NBC Tower: 455 N. Cityfront Plaza
