Drew School is seeking a dynamic, energetic and skilled community-builder to partner with the Admissions Team to recruit and select mission-aligned students. The ideal candidate will be excited to work in an innovative, fast-paced high school community that values student-centered life-long learning as well as close personal relationships. The Admissions Team is responsible for promoting the school in all ways and delivering a mission-aligned admissions process with the goal of achieving optimal enrollment.
The Outreach Associate works with the Director of Admissions and the Associate Director of Admissions in the planning and implementation of all activities related to the recruitment and selection of students to help advance Drew as a top choice option for progressive, student-centered education in San Francisco. The Outreach Associate is supervised by the Director of Admissions.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Possess in-depth knowledge of Drew’s student-centered academic programs and mission which promote student growth and development of voice and serve as a primary source of information for students and parents
In collaboration with the Director of Admissions and the Associate Director of Admissions and other key stakeholders build and support a strong community of student ambassadors and admissions interns
Assist the Associate Director of Admissions in the planning, implementing and overseeing of the Applicant Visit Program which includes, but is not limited to: scheduling applicant visits, coordinating with teachers, training and coordinating student tour guides, and welcoming and hosting visitors while on-campus
Promote Drew School at Bay Area High School Fairs, Parent Coffees, Regional Receptions and other recruiting events that take place during the Fall and Spring
Work alongside Admissions Team to develop new channels and strategies to recruit mission-aligned students including but not limited to the introduction of an annual spring outreach event and middle school partnership opportunities
Support Associate Director of Admissions with organization and management of Ravenna Application Systems
Interview prospective students and assist with the organization of the interview program
Coordinate student volunteers for all admissions events
Represent the school during off-campus visits to Bay Area middle schools and community organizations to educate prospective students about Drew School
Read and assess student applications, as a standing member of the Admissions Committee
Support the spring enrollment process for each year’s entering 9th-grade class and transfer students - including but not limited to New Student Night, Placement Testing, etc.
Provide logistical support the Office of the Dean of Students, Advancement, and Athletics on an as needed basis
Other special projects and responsibilities as assigned and developed matching areas of skill, interest, and experience of the candidate

Spanish speaker preferred.
Experience in schools and/or serving students or educators
At least three years of professional experience
Salary commensurate with experience.
