Med-Office of the Dean - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (19004628)
Serves the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Office of Medical Education (OMED) in a professional capacity by administering its year-round Standardized Patient Program (simulation experiences) for the teaching and evaluation of medical students. This includes recruitment of standardized patients; planning and coordination of the teaching and evaluation activities; planning, coordinating and billing of external (non-Pitt or UPMC) SP events; administration of human resources related to this program; data processing for grading and research purposes; coordination and preparation of reports and budgets for this program. The incumbent serves under the Medical Director and the Director of the Office of Medical Education in a program development/expansion and administrative capacity.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, education, theater arts, or health-care related field required. Additional years of experience in a high level administrative role may be substituted for the degree. Demonstrable experience in clinical skills, project management, and human resource management. Must be able to understand and learn software packages as required to meet the needs of the Office of Medical Education. Strong computer skills, e.g. proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Sharepoint. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
