Drew University is seeking a Logistics Manager for its Launch program. This is a 12-month, full-time position.
Drew University is preparing for the implementation of Launch as of the fall of 2019. Launch is a new approach to undergraduate education designed to integrate students’ academic, purpose, and outcomes development in preparation for their careers, their contribution to the world, and life after Drew. Launch will be realized through a number of innovative, concrete strategies, including career communities, customized networks, guaranteed immersive experiences, and a network of mentors for all students. Launchpad, including the Career Center, the Center for Civic Engagement, The Center for Global Education, and Undergraduate Research will coordinate critical parts of these efforts and will be supported by a Launchpad Operations Team, including an Operations Manager, an Event Planner, a Logistics Manager, and a Marketing Specialist.
Launchpad’s Logistics Manager, in collaboration with the Launchpad Team, will be responsible for the management of Launchpad logistics, including the development and implementation of Launchpad contracts and grants, financial transactions, processing of purchases, payments and bills, processing of memberships and registrations, transportation and travel arrangements, student applications, internship and job Handshake approvals, and the technical management of Launchpad databases, platforms and software.
This position reports to the Launchpad Operations Manager / Executive Assistant to the Associate Provost.
Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management or a related field.
Minimum of two years of successful experience in logistics, organizational, administrative management efforts, and use of diverse software applications and media
Strong, detail-oriented organizational and time-management skills, and an ability to work and problem solve independently, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong project management and effort coordination; follow-up and reporting skills.
Excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to maintain a consistently high level of customer service and professionalism
Demonstrated experience with and/or commitment to working with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds in support of an inclusive and equitable environment.
Strong technical and software skills including experience with diverse software applications, database management, word processing; experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
