Responsible for developing and executing a wide range of design projects for external and internal audiences. Counsels internal clients on corporate identity and design standards and policies. Oversees departmental graphic design standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Determines the creative theme of the materials produced in the office, while following company brand standards.
Coordinates the workload and prioritizes the projects for all of the designers in the local market while providing consultation and creative design solutions.
Approves the final creative output for projects within the local market.
Works on the most high profile and most complex design projects for the local market.
Provides directives to other designers for design projects within the local market.
Other duties may be assigned.
Manages the design process within the department and doles out projects, but does not manage people.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience and/or training. Master of Fine Arts degree preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management and client groups to take desired action.
Requires ability to do project budgets and cost estimates.
Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Must have a solid grasp of fundamental concepts of print and web publishing and graphic design principles. Advanced skills with web design, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Familiarity with Adobe Dreamweaver. Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, Familiarity with MS Excel. Basic project management, editing and writing skills required.
