In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will:
Understand that accessibility is much more than people using screen readers and actively checks work to meet federal accessibility standards and requirements with the WCAG standards.
Know how to wield the power of a content management system (CMS) and create templates.
Be familiar with html email composition and testing.
Be familiar with CRM or email management systems like Mailchimp, Blackbaud, or Constant contact Must be familiar with html email composition and testing.
Have a good sense of the design process and can articulate the process.
Communicate well with clients and explain the process clearly.
Provide support for creating student organization websites and Faculty websites.
Provide Cleanslate training and support to users.
Be a team player
Have a willingness to teach in various models including co-workers, designers and communicators.
Troubleshoot user issues and answer questions on Cleanslate, Wufoo forms and Google Analytics.
Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field.
Two (2) years experience in each of the following:
working on Web design mockups in Photoshop or Illustrator
creating html email
integrating designs into content management systems
converting Photoshop templates to HTML5 and CSS
developing responsive, mobile-friendly websites
Standard drivers license as travel around campus is required.
