This position is responsible for working with faculty in the School of Art printmaking area to help manage the operations of printmaking facilities in the UTK School of Art by supporting instruction and operations for the printmaking studio in intaglio, lithography, relief printing, letterpress, screen printing, papermaking, book arts and digital printing in a Macintosh Lab. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment and presses, order and procure supplies and equipment, report on inventory of supplies and equipment, assign and schedule graduate assistants closing/opening the studio, organize end-of-semester shop clean-up sessions, assist faculty with technical instruction and helping students during open studio hours, collaborate with faculty in managing and implementing the Printmaking Showcase Gallery and Visiting Artist projects, collect hazardous materials for proper disposal, make facility improvements, and other related duties.
This is a term position and does not include benefits. This is a part-time position not to exceed 20 hours per week.
