The College of Business is seeking an Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing direct, confidential administrative support, coordinating administrative work and managing projects for the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and the Senior Director of Advancement.

Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years' experience providing administrative support to an administrator
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or other relevant field.
Three years of experience providing administrative support.
Budget management experience.
Project management experience, including planning and prioritizing simultaneous projects and responding with flexibility to urgent or unexpected requests.
Strong oral and written communications skills, including excellent proofreading skills. Customer service experience.
Demonstrable ability to work independently and in a team environment, to take initiative, and to meet strict deadlines.
High computer proficiency, for example with Microsoft Office Suites or equivalent, PowerPoint or equivalent, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, working knowledge of Outlook, and database experience.
Experience creating reports for administrators in Excel or other report writing system.
Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
This position is designated as a critical or security sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSUSTANDARD 5760550000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications including the Criminal History Check Requirement.
This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self report convictions (as per Voluntary and Compulsory Driver Standards OAR 1251550200) as per OAR 5760560000 et seq.
The Administrative Assistant will be expected to support events, meetings and other activities in both Corvallis and Portland, and travel between Portland and Corvallis is expected about twice per month. Though responsibilities for this position are predominantly between the hours of 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday, some evenings and weekend hours will be required.
