The Department of Urology is seeking a Quality Improvement consultant to assist with facilitation, data analysis, and implementation of quality improvement projects. This highly-visible position will work closely with Urologyphysicians, administrative leadership and multidisciplinary teams to implement, measure and maintain clinical quality improvement initiatives related to clinical outcomes, quality of care, and operational process improvement.
This QI Consultant is responsible for:
Providing consultation, education and professional support for Hospital-wide and departmental quality improvement programs, projects and initiatives.
Educating and advising on methods, tools and techniques for monitoring and assessing quality of care and compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Providing support for implementation and evaluation of hospital and unit/department based quality improvement programs and serving as project manager for designated programs/projects.
Designing and administering customer surveys and analyzes, interprets and presents results.
To qualify, you must have:
A Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management or a closely related field and two years of data management experience in a clinical setting is required.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience in data management may substitute.
Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth, experienced-based knowledge. Work requires communication skills in order to persuade and negotiate with others on important matters.
No certification, registration or licensure required.
