Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to address the many technical support needs and application specifications in the CCN - Clean Air portfolio, which include aerospace, stationary emissions and indoor air quality. The motivation is aimed at creating a higher level of customer focus, servicing customer's technical needs in existing products, developing new solutions to address customers' future needs, and expanding our technology to new market segments.
This is a customer facing role. You will work with the Sales Team together to drive Customer Focus, create solutions that meet customers' needs and expand our product portfolio as well as explore the use of our technology in markets in which we currently don't have sales. You will also interface directly with R&D in order to optimize current technology, evaluate field samples and provide customer insight for new products.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (preferably with a focus on heterogeneous catalysis) and your industrial experience in the heterogeneous catalysis field, you will provide technical application support to the Clean Air global sales organization on all aspects of the various businesses into which we sell.
Demonstrating any experience you may have in using and adapting digital technologies to create new methods and approaches, you will develop technical documents to support sales in various areas of emission control catalysts, ensure technology is being applied properly and able to meet customer needs. You will also be responsible for identifying new applications of existing commercial products and for conducting feasibility studies and coordinating with R&D for new applications as necessary.
Translating customer needs into defined tasks for development programs, you will be responsible for defining catalyst compositions, approve the technical portion of sales proposals (e.g. catalyst design). Additionally, you will work with product management to develop cost effective special quotes for unique technical applications and recommend cost savings and value engineering alternatives.
Your ability to collaborate with the different functions will be vital as you act as the liaison between R&D and the Sales Team to address customer needs, and coordinate with R&D on analyses of samples from the field for evaluation and prepare reports on the results.
Your strong verbal and written communication skills will aid you in providing application training for the Sales Team as required.
Your ability to interact well with the customer and manage conflict situations, combined with your strong problem-solving ability, will be essential as you participate in catalyst field testing and support customer visits as necessary.
Successfully engaging across the organization, you will coordinate with production for optimization of manufactured products.
Demonstrating your ability to gather, organize, and analyze data to support business processes and decision making, you will prepare, check, and coordinate the release of documentation to support technical transfer of product into production. Additionally, you will develop technical documents / presentations / literature as necessary.
Your robust analytical skills will serve you well as you perform new business development analysis and communicate market needs to R&D in order to determine a potential fit for our technology.
