The Project Coordinator will have a dual role within the department, assisting with project-based education initiatives under the Sr. Project Coordinator of RSS and the Program Manager of the departments Live Continuing Medical Education courses. They will be responsible for carrying out the staff training for and managing a portfolio of hospital-based regularly scheduled series (RSS) activities during the renewal period from June – September, and December – February, as well as a portfolio of year-round live CME courses. They will work closely with the other Program Coordinators on the team to ensure all aspects of the attendee/learner experience are met. Day to day duties will be overseen by the Program Manager with support from the Sr. Project Coordinator. A successful candidate will possess a strong ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and have the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to work independently and within a team. We are looking for a person with an administrative background with excellent customer service skills by phone and email, strong written communications skills, and an eye for detail.

Education: College degree preferred, or an equivalent of education plus 3+ years relevant administrative experience in an office environment.Education beyond high school may count toward experience. Program, project-management, or event experience a plus. Must be able to work overtime hours in the morning, nights, and weekends as required for program delivery (typically hotels/conference centers in downtown Boston and Cambridge). In addition to overtime, this position must be able to work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM to cover business phone calls.
Two or more years of customer service experience required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Ability to prioritize workload, multitask and take initiative in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment. Proficiency using a variety of software applications including Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft Office suite applications.
