The Brown University Division of Advancement seeks qualified applicants for the position of Associate, Next Generation Giving.
This individual will support two (2) officer level positions, providing direct support to alumni volunteers and working cooperatively with other members of the Marketing Initiatives and Next Generation Giving team.He/she participates in the engagement, support, and solicitation of young alumni prospects, donors and volunteers, with a strong emphasis on securing donors to the Brown Annual Fund. The incumbent serves as team financial coordinator and in conjunction with other team associates, compiles monthly reports for the Next Generation Giving and Initiatives team. He/she supports the Director in management of the Young Leadership Council. The incumbent assists the Assistant Director, Next Generation Giving in supporting alumni 1-5 years out with an emphasis on the fifth reunion.
Bachelorâ™s degree plus two years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience in a university and/or non-profit setting highly desirable.
Demonstrated excellent written/oral communications and analytical skills as well as proofreading ability; must be able to communicate with vendors, programmers, and multiple University constituencies.
Creativity, motivation, and superior problem-solving skills.
Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft, Google, and Adobe suites, calendar management/project management tools, web-based platforms, and basic html. Demonstrated success in data management strongly preferred.
