The Role Responsibilities The role holder will establish and embed the Digital assets Venture's risk management strategy in alignment with its commercial objectives.
Adopt and adapt SCV Risk Management Framework.
Identify and implement venture specific risk policies and processes including Market,cyber and Operational risk policies and practices,ensuring that they meet the requirements and standards of all regulatory requirements.
Develop and align Risk appetite for Lydia in conjunction with CEO (Lydia) and endorsement of SCV Committee.
Define, maintain, & review Risk Management Framework policies and procedures as required.
Ensure appropriate measurement, evaluation, reporting and governance exist for the risk-taking activities and portfolios.
Assist in developing risk mitigation and monitoring strategies for the venture's critical risks.
Build the controls dashboard and risk reporting systems, ensuring that it has a clear direction for the team and when it is required to change course to stay within the venture's risk appetite.
Predict and foresee and stay alert to potential dangers and threats, in order to evaluate on the controls whether they are effective as well as share changes in best practices.
Have a detailed understanding of the digital assets industry, business, goals and our surrounds to develop/shape the venture's risk appetite with the immediate and broader team.
Ensure that business strategy and operational execution is within approved risk acceptance criteria and that the risks taken are within the approved risk appetite, with adequate isk assessment on criticality (high, medium or low).
Adopt SCV Operational Risk framework while adapting to the business requirements.
Ensure assessment, drafting of controls and assessment enabling management of operational risks within the approved operational risk appetite and in compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations.
Work collaboratively with Group Risk, Risk Operations and other functions.
People and Talent
Establish the appropriate risk-reward culture for the ventures.
Ensure adequate training and development of team to enhance competency of the risk and business function in understanding and managing the differentiated levels of risk.
Lead through example and embed the Group's valued behaviours and code of conduct in the Risk function.
Risk Ownership of Credit, Reputational, conflict of interest and Operational - Risk.
Develop and maintain risk identification, measurement and modelling capabilities which are objective, consistent and compliant with applicable regulations, and adequately balanced against wider competitor landscape beyond traditional banks.
Ensure that material risk exposures and related issues are reported to the responsible governance committees and to the Board or Board committee as appropriate.
Assign risk authorities to suitable named individuals in line with their skills and judgement.
Providing oversight and challenge of the Bank's systems and controls in respect of Risk Management.
Maintain a good understanding of the requirements of the regulators in respect of risk management and ensure these are well understood internally and reflected in internal procedures.
Align the strategy of the Risk function with the venture's business strategy and risk appetite, and oversee its execution.
Maintain an open and cooperative relationship in dealings with regulators.
Establishing strong working relationship with Audit and other external constituents and partner with the business development team to ensure strategic vision of the venture is developed with consideration for the risks involved and hence proactively manage the risks.
Provide oversight and validation of the Bank's external reporting of risk.

Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across all SC venture dealings. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Ensure that the venture is acting as a "force for good" in a market that is increasingly relevant but suffers from perception of opaqueness and lack of reliability will increase adoption by traditional market participants.
Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
Graduate degree with relevant Risk Management experience.
Leadership role in Digital industry/startup/bank innovation space, focusing on enterprise risk management.
Bank training i.e. mandatory & developmental - role specific, and regulatory/compliance bank wide & role specific.
Senior Management level experience in Credit, Operational, Liquidity and Compliance risk management.
