Web and Mobile Services is seeking an IT Communications Coordinator. This is a full-time 1.00 FTE,12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Manager of IT Communications.

The IT Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall awareness of information and technology at Oregon State University (OSU) while communicating the visions and plans of University Information and Technology (UIT) to internal and external audiences. In this position, the successful candidate could expect to: - Develop and implement marketing campaigns to launch new products and services. - Build and maintain a large digital presence for UIT across multiple websites and platforms. - Assist in creating and documenting processes to improve workflows and customer service. - Support members of our digital community to build highly engaging and modern web experiences.
The ideal candidate is a strong and versatile communicator, skilled at leveraging technology and best practices to engage with a wide and diverse audience of stakeholders. Our next IT Communications Coordinator should possess: - Exceptional writing, proofreading and organizational skills. - Expertise with a variety of communications approaches, including email, web, social media, customer outreach, media relations, webinars and traditional print materials. - A strong sense of customer advocacy. - Experience assisting others to build rich and impactful web experiences.
Typically requires Bachelor's degree in field related to the discipline of the college, unit or department with professional communications and marketing experience.
Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of progressive experience in the communications field.
Strong and effective writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Demonstrable experience in creating and maintaining content across many different mediums such as web pages, print materials and others.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
Self-directed and able to manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Able to maintain a team-oriented, professional and cooperative attitude at all times.
Demonstrable experience with productivity software, including Microsoft Office and G Suite.
Experience working with a web content management system (preferably Drupal or WordPress).
Demonstrable ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures while promoting and enhancing diversity.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions.
This position will sometimes be asked to participate in after-hours, IT emergency communications.
