The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an IT Project Manager to manage software projects across the NRG entities as well as projects that emanate from the international pharmaceutical trials. This position will ensure that all IT responsibilities that are incorporated within each trial are identified. The position will document each responsibility, assign priorities, and start and completion dates.
This position will assure that needed documentation is maintained and signed, participate in IT and SDMC working groups, and meet with the supervisor regularly to review priorities and progress. The IT Project Manager will participate in national working groups as needed. These groups continue to define common data elements and software integrations that are to be employed by all data trials funded through the National Cancer Institute's Clinical Trials Evaluation Program (CTEP).
This position will manage projects across the three federally-funded statistical centers to ensure that standards are harmonized and deadlines are met. This position will interact with contractors employed by the pharmaceutical partners to ensure that data is transmitted between and among contractors and the pharmaceutical partners in a timely, efficient, and reliable manner in accordance with industry standards.
Bachelor 's degree with 9-10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
Department Details : The NRG Oncology Statistical Data Management Center (SDMC) provides data management, information systems, and statistical support for cancer clinical trials that are conducted by NRG Oncology, a Lead Protocol Organization funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). NRG Oncology is a large, international, multi-center clinical trials research organization with headquarters in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia and more than 2000 member sites. The information technology support for NRG Oncology is centered at the University of Pittsburgh. The SDMC also supports statistical centers and their data management components in Buffalo, NY, and Philadelphia, PA as well as the needs of the site users. The SDMC also provides these services for large, multi-center cancer clinical trials that are funded by pharmaceutical companies through the NSABP Foundation.
