Organizational Relationship: Reports to the President
Location: Painted Desert Campus, Holbrook, AZ
Establish and direct the strategic IT roadmap, and develop IT objectives including project prioritization and policies and procedures.
Develop a strategic security and data integrity issues plan of the network and systems to guide the operation of the Information Services division.
Project long term IT needs and develop and direct the strategy to address the needs through innovation, system development, hardware acquisition, integration and partnerships.
Provide consistent leadership within the college and operation of the Information Services Division to support administrative and academic functions and to develop a solid sense of collaboration with a wide range of college constituents.
Regularly monitor changes in technology to ensure optimal technology planning and purchasing decisions.
Direct, mentor, and coach staff within the Information Services Division by assigning and delegating tasks, providing direction and training, communicating expectations, emphasizing the highest level of customer service and integrity to embrace change and evolving technologies.
Manage and deploy resources to provide assessment of computing and data communication needs; selection of appropriate applications to meet the functional demands within the college environments.
Formulate and recommend policy and procedure as required within the defined areas of technology scope and value.
Participate and represent the college in state and national professional organizations, events, and seminars.
Contemporary participatory management practice.
Standard principles of data and information organization, retrieval, presentation, and manipulation.
Current computing hardware concepts and facilities, including the relative uses and roles of mainframe, server, workstation, and microcomputer equipment.
Current software development and maintenance theory and practice.
Current computing platforms and applications.
Current data communication/networking principles and products.
Distance learning philosophy and technology.
Computing and data communications solutions to support an effective educational setting.
Demonstrate continuous learning related to information technology and leadership.
Actively facilitate faculty, staff, and student groups in identifying and specifying needs.
Develop and deliver presentations to a variety of constituencies, e.g., District Governing Board Members, faculty, staff, community groups, and other groups.
Manage and supervise staff across multiple sites and locations.
Develop, plan and manage budgets, plan expenditures and forecast resources.
Continuously review, re-prioritize, and manage numerous, concurrent projects.
Able to work under pressure and in stressful environments to meet the project deadlines.
Exceptionally communicate, including the ability to interpret and explain information to a variety of persons and groups.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Master’s Degree in a Technology or Administrative subject matter.
Five years’ supervisor experience in higher education and/or the public sector.
Five years’ project management experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), or other IT certifications(s).
Experience with ERP systems such as Jenzabar-CX and Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution portal.
Experience working with diverse cultures.
Higher education teaching experience or instructional design experience.
Experience with IT risk-management and/or cyber security.
