Reporting to the Senior Director of Wharton Online, the Associate Director of Educational Technologies assists the Associate Director of Platforms and Technologies in the support, development, implementation and hosting of all online courses and experiences offered through Wharton Online. The Associate Director also works closely with Wharton Online course team staff and vendors to ensure courses are delivered in a high-quality manner from a technical perspective and that the learning experiences offer the full advantage of the technical capabilities of the respective platforms while reflecting pedagogical best practices. The Associate Director collaborates with different stakeholders on new ways of delivering innovative courses, keeps current with industry developments regarding new offerings in the market, and ensures the course support resources are current.
Successful candidates will have previous experience with online education and/or MOOCs, strong attention to detail, have a high service-oriented nature and the willingness and flexibility to operate in a continually changing and growing team environment. Ability to support clients off hours is required at times. Online course platform knowledge and technical troubleshooting expertise required. Project management, vendor relations and instructional design experience required. Coding experience is helpful.
