Responsible for providing pharmacy application support, administration, implementation and/or upgrades, monitoring and training for pharmacy-related applications, clinical information system and computerized pharmacy system. Serves as Pharmacist resource and provides expertise for planning additional pharmacy information technology projects. Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures related to information technologies within the department. Assists in training of Pharmacist staff and supportive personnel. Assists in compliance monitoring with regulatory requirements and standards including pharmacy system documentation and archival of data. Involved in quality assurance activities. Assists in Pharmacist duties as assigned. Reports to the Director of Pharmacy.
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy required.
Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree preferred.
Previous hospital experience preferred.
Previous clinical experience in an acute setting preferred.
Interpersonal and leadership skills required.
Good organizational and project management skills preferred.
Advanced knowledge of computer skills required.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Current Florida Registered Pharmacist licensure required.
ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency training preferred.
