SCHOOL REGISTRAR WITH MARKETING

The School Registrar role is a full-time position at Wetherby-Pembridge to start in June. The candidate will manage all areas of school administration, marketing, forecasting and budgeting, events and sponsorship as directed by the Head of school and the Director of Marketing at Head Office in the UK.
This is a very hands-on role within the school and the successful applicant will have extensive administrative and secretarial experience. This is a key position, requiring excellent communication and organisational skills, an attention to detail and an ability to keep track of multiple deadlines.
Managing and overseeing the following general school administration, by:
answering the school telephone, screening and directing calls
maintaining the SIMS database
overseeing and taking ownership of the school pupil attendance record and maintaining this accurately in SIMS in the mornings and afternoons
maintaining all WPNY employee and pupil folders and collating all statutory employee paperwork as staff join the school
checking all WPNY annual pupil records and health checks are up to date and compliant with NYC Health standards
overseeing and updating the accurate detail of the School’s SCR (School Central Register) in conjunction with the Head of School and Deputy Head.
overseeing monthly school credit card expenses and requisitions
working closely with the Finance and HR team at Head Office in London to oversee all school invoicing and tuition and registration fee payment by school families
overseeing all school orders and systems with teachers
working with the Premises Manager to oversee the school contractors and booking of transport
meeting with Premises Manager and Security Officer on a weekly basis to maintain the efficient running of the School
sitting on the School Health and Safety Committee which meets twice a term
overseeing the frequent replenishment of all school first aid kits in conjunction with the Class Teachers who are responsible for them
attending any formal or informal school events outside of school hours as required by the Head of School
being familiar with necessary rules and regulations pertaining to the school including those relating to Health and Safety in New York
supporting the Head of School and other members of the faculty as required
2) To manage all aspects of Marketing, including:
responsibility for managing and reporting on the schools’ marketing budget. They will work in conjunction with the Head of School and the Director of Marketing in London to set annual sponsorship and marketing initiatives ahead of the academic year
helping to develop and communicate the school brand and value proposition, across a variety of channels including the school website, print literature, adverts and school events
ensuring consistency across all media and widely promoting the brand within the School, the local community and beyond
working alongside the Director of Administration to help plan and promote Open Houses and other events held at the School, developing excellent links with existing and prospective parents
working alongside the Director of Administration to send out notifications and school information to prospective families
generating pro-active content-led press opportunities with a variety of publications
acting as PR Officer, particularly with regard to events, media relations, press releases and publications
working alongside the Director of Administration to help grow reach and engagement through digital marketing channels, including websites, social media, PPC and Adwords campaigns
researching and managing advertising in local publications and physical locations across New York and internationally, where appropriate
working alongside the Director of Administration help to provide professional input into all school publications, including the school prospectus, termly calendar cards, handbooks and produce the school website
attending weekly school marketing meetings with the Head of School and Director of Administration to set direction and plan for all school events
reporting all marketing and outreach progress to the Head of School and Director of Marketing
nurturing the important school sponsorships and relationships with Carnegie Hall, Carnegie Hill Neighbors, St George’s Society and continue to develop new avenues for the school to consider
co-ordinating the school’s annual community initiative and the Notable Neighbours Programme, liaising with all new speakers, scheduling them to the school calendar and advertising their event
acting as an ambassador for the school, promoting the school’s aims and core values to drive with the quality expected
