National Able Network recently acquired a new grant in Omaha, NE and has several professional opportunities for positions to start in early July. National Able Network, a dynamic and growing nonprofit agency specializing in the delivery of innovative employment and training programs, has an exciting opportunity for a Program Director to start effective 07/01/2019.
The Program Director serves as the on-site director overseeing one or more offices. This position supervises program staff and serves as an expert resource regarding program obligations, processes, and phases of client service. The position oversees and evaluates program performance and may work in close coordination with state and federal agencies, funders, and other partners to ensure high quality service delivery to job-seekers and businesses.
Over-site of operations within location(s) assigned and provide program leadership to ensure that all contractual obligations are met and that services are of high quality to both job seekers, potential employers and/or host agencies
Ensures integrity of data entered into internal and external systems and manages personnel to maintain timely entry of case notes into systems as required; Ensures compliance with all reporting guidelines specified by National Able and the funding agency
Track and monitor current funding sources, anticipates contract renewal status; Monitors and tracks all aspects (e.g. budget, phase reviews, timelines, etc.); provides written reports and may present status to expanded team and senior management
Educate personnel to understand contract requirements and their roles in meeting these requirements
Provide ongoing training and guidance to staff in need of remediation; motivates and evaluates subordinates and staff in their prevue
Leads regular staff meetings, promoting clear and timely communication
Evaluate program data to ensure programs are meeting or exceeding financial, quality assurance, and performance metrics outlined in loading plans. Develop and monitor program corrective actions plans
Conduct or oversee regular reviews of program and client files to prepare for audits and ensure compliance with federal, state and local government regulations
Benchmark through research and evaluation, of industry trends and best practices; integrate best practices of program development industry and service providers; Maintains knowledge and expertise of city, state or federal regulations, legislation, programs, etc. relevant to program activities
Maintains and submits accurate, timely and complete data for internal and external reporting regarding clients’ progress through all phases of the program. Provide senior management with verifiable and timely data to make strategic decisions.
Continually review and evaluate all phases of client service process and make recommendations to executive level regarding procedures, policies, staff training and development, and procurement of additional resources, equipment or services.
Administer budget and seek cost effective approaches to service delivery. Work closely with accounting staff assigned to contracts associated with program(s)
Assist with the preparation of proposals and grants including the collection of data to complete status/final reports for funders.

Knowledge or Expertise:
Experience with community outreach and media through speaking engagements, attendance at meetings, and appropriate interviews to inform about the program and its services
Knowledgeable and proficient re: government employment and training programs
Evaluates quantitative and analytical data, assesses trends, and formulates solutions/recommendations; exercises judgement in selecting methods and techniques and evaluation of criteria for obtaining results
Expertise with all aspects of project management
Proven leadership and management skills in selecting, developing, motivating and evaluating staff utilizing objective, quantitative measures. Strong team player who can lead by example and promote excellence, integrity, creativity and accountability among staff
Service-oriented, flexible, self–starter with a solid work ethic who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines. High initiative, outstanding organizational skills, clear attention to detail and the ability to follow-through
Enhance the productivity and skills of service staff through the identification, promotion, and provision of professional development activities such as: “in-service” education sessions, cross training with co-workers, task force/project team assignments, external seminars, professional group memberships, and proactive encouragement of professional development opportunities
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; OR 6 years of relevant management experience required
Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/program management role
