Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Iowa State University seeks a dynamic leader to serve as the Director of the Supply Chain Forum within the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business.
The Director of the Supply Chain Forum will be responsible for launching and directing all activities including increasing experiential learning opportunities for students, building partnerships with corporations, and increasing publicity of the outstanding teaching, research, and industry outreach capabilities of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Department. The successful candidate will be skilled at developing relationships and communicating with a variety of audiences including faculty, staff, students, and corporate partners. Incumbent must also be able to provide strategic vision and direction for the Forum. The director will also provide strategic leadership and direction for the development of the Business Analytics Initiative.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree and 8 years of related experience; OR a Ph.D. or other professional degree and 5 years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree in supply chain management, operations management, logistics management or a related discipline.
Additional years of professional experience, as defined above.
Experience in a senior (Vice President or above) management role.
Experience in project management.
Related professional experience preferred in the field of managing supply chain operations or strategy.
This position serves at the pleasure of university administration and is exempt from certain P&S policies.
