The intern provides assistance with instructional design. May be involved in any of the following tasks: instructional needs analysis, audience analysis, instructional program evaluation, working with subject matter experts to analyze and specify subject matter content. Some courses are converted from stand-up to web-based, others are designed and developed from scratch.

Demonstrates knowledge of current instructional theories, instructional design techniques, and adult learning theory.
Demonstrates instructional design skills including evaluation skills, objectives preparation skills and model building skills.
Demonstrates project management skills. Demonstrates the ability to concurrently manage multiple and varied projects in a high- pressure environment with short deadlines.
Demonstrates skill in developing processes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
Demonstrates entrepreneurial initiative with solid communication, presentation and organizational skills.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and oversight, with the ability to achieve established milestones in a timely manner.
Communicates with supervision immediately about any issues related to meeting deadlines or other challenges that may arise when producing materials.
Demonstrates ability to multitask.
Demonstrates technical and computer literacy.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master’s program student required. Minimum 3.3 GPA required.
Preferred Majors: Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or other related field.
Knowledge of tools used to develop graphics and other media assets (Fireworks, Freehand, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, etc.).
Experience working as part of a team to develop and deliver blended learning solutions required.
Experience using the following tools preferred: Flash, Dreamweaver, Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, Ulead, Sound Forge, Trainersoft, Lectora, Prezi, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment, as well as settings throughout the system and surrounding communities. Independent travel to the sites is required.
