The Geisinger in Motion (GiM) department, within the Department of Marketing and Communications, primarily focuses on solutions that extend Geisinger’s capabilities beyond fixed workstations and brick and mortar facilities, improve communication between the healthcare team and patients, improve customer engagement, and distribute data amongst the patient’s healthcare delivery network.GiM solutions typically include the use of mobile, portal, telehealth, general Internet, and EHR technologies.
The Associate Analyst is a business analyst responsible for executing project tasks, providing analysis, and leading implementations of data-driven recommendations in support of GiM initiatives.The Associate Analyst works with other GiM Analysts, and Managers, and interacts with GiM stakeholder teams from clinical, operational, administrative, IT and end user areas.The Associate Analyst must be skilled in GiM technologies, project tasks such as requirements gathering, data analysis and reporting, and able to complete project assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
The Associate Analyst reports to the Geisinger in Motion Manager and receives general supervision from the Manager and more senior Analysts.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates abilities in project documentation such as requirements, design documents, flow diagrams, training materials, communications and presentations.
Demonstrates interest and ability to creatively think through innovative solutions.
Demonstrates abilities in data analysis, query tools and report development.
Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates a strong general understanding of technical limitations and capabilities.
Demonstrates ability to effectively interact in a team environment and with high-level management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Information Science, a Health care related specialty.
Experience with technology projects required, such as developing requirements, business analysis, user design, system design and/or user training.
Experience with EPIC applications and healthcare operations, particularly in a large organization preferred.
General understanding of project management and the health care industry preferred.
