Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for delivering and maintaining Control Systems that both meet business requirements and provide optimization opportunities. I & C systems must perform as necessary to achieve functionality and safety obligations and maximize system capability. This includes the leadership of the system migration and lifecycle process, maintenance recommendation and oversight of installed base equipment, and coordination of key control systems related activities such as automation security and alarm management.

Formula for Success
Utilizing your strong understanding of automation and control systems and your capability of control tuning and instrumentation and understanding of programing capabilities, you will be responsible for all automation technology such as ABB DCS, Allen Bradley PLC and related MCC, bus and Information Technology.
Leveraging your education in Engineering and your experience working in a manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for Instrument & Control System reliability and performance and development of maintenance plans, including the Equipment Maintenance Strategies (EMS) for instrumentation, controls, automation, and electrical systems, including spare parts and disaster recovery concepts.
Your solid communication and interpersonal skills will be essential as you manage all HMIs, including comprehensive SOPs and operations concepts such as Alarm Management and Effectiveness and system interlocks in collaboration with Operations and Process Engineering.
Successfully collaborating and using your robust problem-solving skills, you will conduct Operator and Technician Training and support in providing troubleshooting and recommendations to operating units on equipment repair/ reliability including emergency work reviews.
Your familiarity with BASF Technical standards, procurement policies, material control/expediting, estimating tools, the project execution process, as well as site and plant procedures will be a valued asset as you keep the big picture view of the overall system architecture, from the ERP systems down to the basic automation level - including specialized manufacturing IT tools and their interfaces.
Your analytical ability will serve you well as you support and enable digitalization efforts and proactively monitor for potential benefits.
Working with entrepreneurial drive, you will independently identify opportunities, establish plans, and commit to deliverables for a new or changed product, process, system, or technology.
