In this Senior Project Lead role, you will make an impact by managing several critical workstreams for the Panorama program, one of MetLife’s top programs working with life and annuities conversion projects. You will utilize your knowledge of project and program management principles to coordinate resources (people and technology) across the larger organization and manage risk and issue escalation to ensure a timely implementation. This role is working within the Regional Application Development- US division.
Builds and maintains working relationships with team, vendors, and other departments involved in the project across multiple workstreams
Leads workstream meetings working closely with technical and business teams to develop and monitor key deliverables, release milestones and schedules
Identifies, coordinates and manages project interdependencies, risks, issues and action items and follows change management process to ensure timing and alignment of releases and resources
Responsible for coordination of all workstream deliverables and outcomes, and issue resolution amongst core team members and other stakeholders
Communicates workstream status including but not limited to key risks, issues and action items and overall progress on milestones and schedules
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
7+ years of hands on project management and execution experience in IT Delivering complex software projects using standard SDLC processes
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills understands what it takes to deliver software with exposure to large-scale systems
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and interpersonal skills with strong relationship management and facilitation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Adept at working with distributed, global teams. Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and partnership with a willingness to proactively coach, facilitate and share knowledge
Manages focused project recovery activities including quick situational analysis, needs assessment, and hands-on collaboration, along with issue, risk and change management
Experience in Waterfall methodology
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other Information Systems/Technical discipline
